I cannot speak highly enough about the exceptional support provided by Hospice Support Specialists. Their team of knowledgeable professionals transformed our home health facility to the next level. Their dedication to improving our Internal processes from compliance to sales and marketing has been truly remarkable. “Our hospice business has employed the services of Jen Kiehl-Miller of Hospice Support Specialists for the past year. Jen has worked with our clinical team to revise policies and procedures and prepare for the annual accreditation inspection. The clinical team found Jen’s guidance to be invaluable and resulted in an excellent inspection with only one minor tag. Jen is patient, knowledgeable and efficient. Our hospice team is more confident and stronger clinically because of her support.”
Hospice Support Specialists have been extremely valuable partners for us, from survey preparation and regulatory compliance to clinical and business operational support. They took the time to understand our unique challenges and assist with streamlined, solutions-based action plans. We are fortunate to have them in our corner and recommend their services without reservation.
Jen and her team at Hospice Support Specialists are some of the best hospice and home care clinical experts that I have worked with. Jen has an exceptional blend of real world experience, regulatory knowledge and the ability to translate it all into practical operational applications for hospice organizations. Her expertise and training on hospice eligibility, one of the best!
Baptist Health Home Health Network has been providing hospice for over thirty years. But we wanted a way to serve persons with serious, chronic illnesses who want to continue curative treatment and therapy- but who are not at the point of end-of-life care. We turned to Jen Kiehl for help. She crafted a Needs Assessment, pointing out the pros and cons of opening a community palliative care practice. Jen provided sound expertise to design our program to meet our objectives. We received a model framework of operations, and educated us on a target population. She even suggested staffing- particular FTEs as well as contract staff- as we built our program. Jen pointed out what forms we needed- Medicare, CLIA, tax IDs, etc. “Baptist Health Supportive Care at Home” is now in our second year of operation. We are indebted to Jen Kiehl for getting us – and our patients- a well-designed, Medicare-compliant program.
