Kerry Arp is a nationally respected hospice executive, compliance leader, and Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) with more than 25 years of experience leading quality, regulatory compliance, clinical operations, and organizational performance for hospice providers across the country. Throughout her distinguished career, Kerry has helped organizations strengthen compliance programs, improve clinical quality, navigate complex regulatory environments, and build sustainable operational excellence.
Prior to joining Hospice Support Specialists, Kerry served as Chief Quality, Compliance, and Clinical Officer and Senior Vice President of Compliance for one of the nation’s fastest-growing hospice organizations, where she led enterprise-wide compliance, quality, clinical education, QAPI, infection prevention, survey readiness, and government audit response initiatives. She has extensive experience overseeing Medicare contractor audits including ADRs, TPEs, RACs, SMRCs, CERT reviews, and other federal and state regulatory activities while partnering with executive leadership to develop proactive compliance strategies that reduce organizational risk and improve long-term performance.
Throughout her career, Kerry has held executive leadership positions including Area Vice President of Operations, Regional Operations Director, Regional Clinical Director, National Director of Clinical Operations and Start-Ups, Executive Director, and Vice President of Consulting Services. She has successfully led multi-site hospice operations, supported mergers and acquisitions, directed accreditation readiness, implemented quality improvement initiatives, developed leadership teams, and guided organizations through periods of rapid growth and organizational transformation.
As a Consultant with Hospice Support Specialists, Kerry specializes in Medicare regulatory compliance, government audit response, quality improvement, survey preparedness, clinical operations, leadership development, QAPI program design, pre-bill auditing, accreditation support, and organizational performance improvement. She is recognized for helping hospice providers translate complex regulatory requirements into practical operational processes that strengthen compliance while enhancing patient care and organizational efficiency.
Known for her collaborative leadership style and practical, solutions-oriented approach, Kerry partners with hospice organizations to build strong compliance cultures, develop confident leaders, and implement sustainable systems that improve quality, mitigate regulatory risk, and position organizations for long-term success. Her passion for education, mentorship, and continuous improvement has made her a trusted advisor to hospice executives and clinical leaders nationwide.
Kerry earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and is a Registered Nurse and Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN). She is an End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) Trainer and has served as President of the Texas-New Mexico Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (TNMHPO), reflecting her longstanding commitment to advancing hospice excellence and supporting the future of the profession.
