Lorri Harris is an accomplished hospice executive, Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN), author, educator, and healthcare consultant with more than 35 years of leadership experience spanning hospice, home health, and post-acute care. Throughout her distinguished career, she has partnered with organizations to strengthen clinical operations, enhance regulatory compliance, improve quality outcomes, and build high-performing teams committed to exceptional patient care.
Lorri has served in executive leadership roles including President, National Director of Clinical Operations, Clinical Services Regional Manager, Executive Director, Director of Clinical Services, and Agency Administrator for regional and national healthcare organizations. Her extensive experience includes leading multi-state clinical operations, developing hospice start-up programs, guiding organizations through accreditation and state surveys, directing quality and performance improvement initiatives, and helping providers successfully navigate Medicare regulatory audits and appeals.
As a Consultant with Hospice Support Specialists, Lorri specializes in hospice clinical operations, Medicare regulatory compliance, survey readiness, QAPI, leadership development, orientation and education programs, government audit response, performance improvement, and organizational assessments. She is recognized for developing practical, sustainable solutions that strengthen clinical practice, improve operational efficiency, and position hospice organizations for long-term success in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
A passionate educator and mentor, Lorri has dedicated much of her career to developing clinical leaders and advancing professional practice. She has designed and implemented comprehensive education programs, developed clinical policies and protocols, mentored executive and clinical leadership teams, and served as a preceptor for nursing students pursuing advanced degrees. Her commitment to lifelong learning and leadership development continues to influence the next generation of hospice professionals.
In addition to her executive leadership experience, Lorri is the published author of Final Wishes: A Family Guide to End-of-Life Discussions and Dementia: Empowered Caregiving, reflecting her passion for helping patients, families, and healthcare professionals navigate the complexities of serious illness with knowledge, compassion, and confidence.
Lorri earned a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Health Care Administration, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management.
